What are veneers?
Veneers are ceramic or composite overlays that replace the front surface of teeth. They are used for aesthetic purposes, to improve the appearance of teeth, and can also correct defects, change the shape and color of teeth. Veneers are made taking into account the wishes of the patient, in accordance with the shape and color of natural teeth.

What are veneers made from?
Porcelain veneers are made from various types of ceramics. Most often, feldspathic ceramics (porcelain) and IPS E-max glass ceramics are used for this; less often, ceramic veneers are made from zirconium dioxide blocks.
Ceramic veneers are made only in a laboratory from very strong and durable materials, which in their structure are as close as possible to tooth enamel. That is, the finished veneers will look as natural as “your” teeth. The service life of orthopedic veneers is up to 20 years.
There are also composite veneers, which the doctor makes directly in the mouth from a composite material by building on the tooth.
- How long do veneers last?
On average, veneers last 10 to 15 years, but with proper care they can last longer.
- Is the installation procedure painful?
The procedure for installing veneers is usually painless. If necessary, local anesthesia can be used.
